The Servant and the Lord: A Profound Lesson on Faith, Karma, and Trust Story Line

There was a servant in a famous temple.

His job was to clean and expand the temple.

He did it without fail Thousands of people came and had darshan of the Lord every day.

Wouldn't it be tiring for the Lord to stand like this all the time? He thought, one day he asked the Lord, "You stand like this all the time, so I will stand in your place for a day if you want.

Will you take some rest?" He asked him without any deceit.

Lord, I have no problem with you standing.

You can stand in my place for a day tomorrow, but there is one important condition: you have to stand motionless like me. It is enough to greet the people who come and bless them with a smile.

No matter what anyone says or asks, you should not answer. You should not forget that you are an idol of God. It is enough to trust me and stand motionless, he said.

The servant also agreed to that. The next day, he dressed up like the Lord and stood in the sanctum sanctorum of the temple.

The Lord, however, took on the appearance of this man and started to enlarge and clean the temple.

First, a very rich man came.

He prayed to the Lord for his business to prosper and offered a huge sum of money in his piggy bank.

While he was going back, he accidentally left his wallet behind.

This was seen by the servant who was standing in the manger in the guise of God. But the Lord did not speak as he remembered the condition.

He stood there motionless. After some time, a very poor man came there. He had only one rupee to put in his piggy bank. He said, "I can only give you this." Please forgive me, Lord, and bless me as always.

It is very difficult for me and my family to even meet their basic needs. I leave all my problems to you.

Please make a good path for me." He prayed with hope and closed his eyes.

After a few seconds, the rich man opened his eyes and saw the wallet that he had lost.

It contained not only money but also gold coins and diamonds. He innocently took it, thinking that God had heard his prayer and given it to him.

The servant who was standing in the role of God could not say anything even now.

He stood there with the same smile.

After some time, a ship merchant came. Since he was going to go on a long journey on a ship that day, he wanted to see God and get his blessings.

He prayed to God. At that time, the rich man who had lost his wallet returned to the temple with the guards.

Seeing the ship merchant praying there, he must have taken the wallet.

The guards also took the ship merchant away, telling the guards to arrest him and interrogate him.

The rich man thanked God for identifying the person who had stolen his name and left.

The servant, who was standing like a statue, thought of God, "Is this fair? Can an innocent person be punished? I can't stay idle anymore." Saying this, the ship merchant told everyone the truth that he had not stolen and that it was not his fault.

Immediately, both the rich man and the ship merchant were moved and thanked God for telling the truth and left. Night falls and the temple door is closed.

The Lord comes and asks the servant who was standing at the shrine how was today. It was very difficult, I understand how difficult your job is. But I did a good deed and told him what happened in the temple this morning.

The Lord became dissatisfied upon hearing this. Seeing the Lord's dissatisfaction, the servant became nervous.

Why didn't you act according to the agreement we made? Why did you violate my conditions of not speaking or moving no matter what happened? You don't trust me. Am I unaware of the mindset of those who come here? The offering given by the rich man was earned through wrong means.

It is just a small part of his total wealth. He expects me to give him countless things in return by giving him a single part as an offering.

But the poor man gave him only one rupee that was left. However, he came to worship me with complete trust in me. He gave it with love.

There is nothing wrong with the shipowner in this incident. However, if he had sailed as planned today, he would have met with an accident.

He and his ship would have been lost in a storm. To save him from that, I thought of temporarily detaining him and sending him to prison.

It is right that the money should go to the poor man. He will think that I have given it to him and appreciate it.

By doing this, the karma of the rich man will be reduced to some extent. The results of his sins will be reduced to a minimum. In this way, I thought of blessing everyone at once. But you?

He said, "You thought you knew all my thoughts, so you implemented your thoughts and ruined everything." The servant fell at the feet of the Lord and begged for forgiveness for his mistake.

Now understand that there is a reason for everything I do. Humans cannot understand each and every one of them.

I spend every moment for their welfare. I give results according to their karma. There is mercy in giving. There is mercy in refusing to give," he said.
